SCOPE OF THE MEETING:
ACIN 2018 is a five day scientific meeting organised jointly by the University of Namur (UNamur) and the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and the Wuhan University of Technology (China).
The aim of this meeting is to offer an update of recent innovations in both fundamental and applied aspects and to highlight the latest advances and progress in the field of inorganic nanomaterials (inorganics, ceramics, hybrids and bio-inspired materials). We encourage researchers to submit an abstract of their most recent work related to all fields of Inorganic Nanomaterials such as:
T1: Advanced preparation methods to Advanced Complex Inorganic Nanomaterials and cutting edge characterisation techniques: Nanostructures, nanoparticles, nanotubes, ceramics, membranes, films, self-assembly, supramolecular systems, co-ordination polymers, zeolites, MOFs, mesoporous materials, hierarchically structured materials, carbons, natural materials, bioinspired and biomimetic materials, biomineralisation and biotemplating, bio-integrated materials, biocomposites, organometallics, green materials for construction, inorganic switches etc.
T2: Nanomaterials, functional porous materials, co-ordination networks, bio-inspired nanomaterials, hybrid materials and living materials: New precursors, new methods, new processing and shaping and fundamental aspects of synthesis: sol-gel technology, self-assembly, templating, artificial integration, encapsulation, immobilisation, functionalisation, layer-by-layer, ship-in-bottle etc.
T3: New applications and new properties: Catalysis, photocatalysis, energy conversion and storage, batteries, supercapacitors, photovoltaics, artificial photosynthesis, CO2 photoreduction, water splitting, thermal energy to electricity, fuel cells, (DS)solar cells, sensors, gas storage, magnetism, photomagnetism, spin crossover, optics, photochromism, conductivity, superconductivity, etc.
T4: A special session of the ACIN2018 will be dedicated to the "Remediation of outdoor and indoor emissions of Voltail Organic Compounds" in the frame of a H2020 INTERREG V project "DEPOLUTAIR" financially supported by European Union and Wallonie-Belgium. All the researchers working in this field are welcomed to submit your abstract to this special session.
A particular event "International Francqui Chaire" Symposium dedicated to Prof. Clement Sanchez will be organized as a plenary session with plenary lectures, plenary keynote lectures and plenary invited lectures on 19th July in the frame of the ACIN2018. The International Francqui Chaire is a very prestigious international award to recognise the outstanding scientific contribution of an international scientist. Prof. Clément Sanchez from University of Pierre and Marie Curie and the Collège of France, Paris, France holds this Chaire in 2018.
